Abstract:

In this study, the performance of an integrated collector storage solar air heater based on flat micro-heat pipe arrays (FMHPA) was investigated. The structure and working principle of the device were explained in detail. Using the micro-heat pipe array as the key heat-transfer part and the 52 # paraffin wax as the phase change material (PCM), The experimental study and analysis of the temperature distribution of paraffin and the charging/discharging efficiency and power were carried out. The results showed that the charging and discharging efficiencies of the integrated collector storage solar air heater are 59% and 91.6%, respectively, with the average charging and discharging power of 393 W and 344 W. © 2017, Science Press.
