明代中晚期,被统治者操纵控制思想文化领域的程朱理学已力不从心,王阳明关于『不能以孔子之是非为是非』的命题,使人们从僵化教条中解放而出,更为寻找文艺变革之法的人们提供了理论依据,在『直抒胸臆』的文艺主张中,徐渭用其独特笔墨将心中之郁『一寓于书』,并引草书之笔入画,最终开创了对后世影响颇多的大写意绘画.
