在中国文化急剧变化的社会转型期中,各种艺术思潮与跨媒介艺术形式多元并存,具备现代精神和语言的当代艺术,顺应着全球化和城市化的社会大环境,成为艺术界聚焦关注的形式,与此相对应的是,曾经为大众所熟知、记录着风土人情、活跃在民间节日的民俗艺术,呈现越来越边缘的存在状态.
