Abstract:

Nb5+ was doped into YBCO precursor solution, and Ba2YNbO6 (BYNO) nanoparticles can be found in the YBCO film with both epitaxial and random orientations. The nucleation process of the YBCO/BYNO composite film was studied by 2D-XRD. It indicates that the low temperature decomposition of the doped film has no difference with the pure. The BYNO nucleates between 750 degrees C and 775 degrees C. In addition, epitaxial and random oriented BYNO coexist in the precursor film. The nucleation of the YBCO takes place at 820 degrees C, and all of them express (00l) orientation. The existence of the BYNO doesn't affect the YBCO's orientation. The function of the nucleation process has also been analyzed.
