Malmquist生产率指数首先由Caves、Christensten and Diewert (1982)提出,由Fare等人进一步发展而来.该指数运用距离函数来定义,它用来描述不需要说明具体行为标准(例如成本最小化和利润最大化)的多个输入变量和多个输出变量生产技术.
