Abstract:
Manganese titanate (MnTiO3) powders have been synthesized by a sol-gel-hydrothermal method at low temperature below to 473 K through using NaOH as mineralizer. The structural character of as-synthesized powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy. The results indicate that the as-obtained powders are phase pure pyrophanite MnTiO3 with pie-shape morphology. The electronic properties of as-synthesized powders was characterized by UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis), which shows the as-obtained sample has a significant absorption in the visible region.
