Abstract:
The crumb rubberized concrete is a kind of new type building material, whose aggregate is partly replaced by the crumb rubber. Rubberized concrete have many advantages such as high toughness, elastic properties and good environmental friendship. However, the mechanical properties of RCB are not further studied up to now. In this paper, the RCB were prepared and its mechanical properties were studied by the cross-section bending experiments of the beam, such as damage characteristics, load characteristics, displacement characteristics, and the beam stress-strain curves, etc. The finite element program ANSYS was used to simulate the mechanical properties of the RCB. The results show that, RCB has good ductility and energy dissipation capacity, and the test results and simulation analysis are consistent.
