Abstract:

To study the key construction technology of the annular crossed cable-truss structure(ACCTS), a finite element model of an ACCTS with a diameter of 100m was built using ANSYS finite element software. Based on this model, the effects of ring beam stiffness, support column type, temperature load, and temperature error in component fabrication on the ACCTS are studied. The effects of the ring beam and support column on ACCTS dynamic performance are analyzed. A calculation method for the cable length error limit is proposed based on reliability theory and nonlinear programming theory. The results revealed that improving the stiffness of the ring beam within a certain range can decrease its deformation, but the effects are small outside this range. The effect of deformation of the ring beam on cable forces can be eliminated using the ring beam pre-adjusting method to place the ring beam in the design position. The prestresses obtained after this adjustment are in error with the initial prestresses by 0.51%-1.12%, which meets the engineering requirements. The constraint types at both ends of the support column have a slight effect on the support column, but the shape of the support column has a large influence on structural lateral resisting stiffness. The laws under full-and half-span temperature loads are consistent. The temperature error in the ring beam and cable fabrication has the greatest influence on the internal force of the upper chord cable of the ACCTS, whereas the manufacturing error in the support column and the entire temperature load have less influence on the ACCTS. The ring beam and support column have a slight effect on the structural frequencies and vibrational modes and do not change the basic dynamic performance of the ACCTS. The calculated cable length error limits are less than the criteria values, and their distribution is uniform, which benefits manufacture and control. The research results promote the application of the ACCTS in practical engineering. © 2021, Editorial Board of Journal of Tianjin University(Science and Technology). All right reserved.
