Abstract:

By testing and analyzing the chemical composition, mineral composition, particle size distribution, heavy metal content and organic matter content of five different river and lake sludges, the similarities and differences of different river and lake sludges were analyzed.The feasibility of producing sintered brick and ceramsite from different river and lake sludges was discussed.The results showed that the chemical compositions of different river and lake sludges belong to clay materials composed of SiO2, the mineral composition was slightly different, and the content of heavy metals meets the standard requirements.The water absorption, compressive strength and other indexes of sintered bricks prepared from Jiujiang sludge meet the national standard GB/T 2542-2012 requirements; All indexes of sludge ceramsite fired from Taihu lake sludge meet the requirements of national standard GB/T 17431-2010.High temperature roasting can effectively solidify heavy metals in sludge.This study provides a valuable reference for harmless, reduction and resource disposal of sludge. © 2022, Editorial Department of Wuhan University of Technology.
