Abstract:
With the improvement of metro networks, sustainability in influencing area of stations has been a focus in recent research. The gravitational model between cities from a geographical perspective has received great attention, but there is a lack of research effort in explaining the gravity form for metro stations. Based on Beijing's points of interest and shared bicycle data, we propose a gravity model with five indicators. The model's effectiveness is verified by the mixing proportion of shared bicycles in the paired stations. Results show that there is a correlation between the gravity and mixing proportion of shared bicycles, with a correlation coefficient of 0.989. Of the 13 pairs of selected metro station catchments, 84.62% of the functional mixing degree was above 1.7, and the average connection ratio of shared bicycle was 3.89%. Therefore, the gravity model proposed provides a basis for the sustainability of urban planning and management. © ASCE.
