Abstract:
This study investigated the seismic performance of high-strength recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) columns with high-strength reinforcement under cyclic loading. Five full-scale columns were carried out, and the results revealed that the lateral loading capacity of RAC column was slightly lower than that of natural aggregate concrete column. Increasing the axial load, the lateral loading capacity of RAC columns increased significantly. Increasing the concrete strength under the same axial load, the lateral loading capacity was slightly increased. Based on the test results, a numerical simulation model was established. Finally, a flexural capacity calculation model and an N-M curve calculation model are proposed.
