Abstract:
Based on the phase diagram calculation, three mixed salts of carbonate-chloride salts were prepared, and the melting point, latent heat, freezing point and decomposition temperature of the prepared molten salts were measured by synchronous thermal analyzer to select out the mixed salts with better performance, followed by specific heat test, thermal cycle stability test and heat storage cost calculation. The results show that 0.18K2CO3-0.14Na2CO3-0.68NaCl mixed salt has a lower melting point, higher latent heat, higher decomposition temperature and good thermal cycle stability. This molten salt has a lower cost of phase change heat storage than the Li2CO3-Na2CO3K2CO3 mixed molten salt. © 2023 Science Press. All rights reserved.
