Abstract:
Combining with the constitutive relation of orthotropic materials, a fatigue topology optimization model considering orthotropic materials is established based on the Independent Continuous Mapping (ICM) method. It uses the minimum structural mass as the optimization objective, the element fatigue life as the constraint condition, and the criterion method. The fatigue life filtration function, mass filtration function, and stiffness filtration function are introduced to identify whether the material is retained. The effectuality of the method is verified by several numerical examples, and the influence of different filter function coefficients on the results is explored. This paper has some theoretical significance for considering the fatigue properties of orthotropic material components in the conceptual design stage. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
