Abstract:
Different types of glycerophosphate were prepared, and the impact of glycerophosphate on the cement hydration process was investigated by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry and measurements of compressive strength, cement paste fluidity and heat of hydration, respectively. The results show that when the alcohol-acid ratio is 2, glycerophosphate has a positive effect on the promotion of the cement hydration and the better compatibility with polycarboxylate superplasticizer rather than triethanolamine. Glycerophosphate improves the amount of non-evaporable water and reduces the amount of Ca(OH)2 in hardened cement paste via the promoted hydration of slag and steel slag. © 2017, Editorial Department of Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society.
