Abstract:

This paper investigates an H∞ intermittent control strategy for multi-area power system (PS). Firstly, the model of multi-area PS with disturbance is constructed. Then, according to the characteristics of intermittent control, a suitable Lyapunov function is selected and a design method of intermittent control is proposed by using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to guarantee the exponential stability and L2-gain performance. Finally, the H∞ intermittent control is proved effective by taking a 3-area PS as an example. © 2022 IEEE.
