Abstract:

Comfortable temperature is an important requirement of building control. In order to optimize the intelligent building system, efficiently adjust and control the HVAC system, bring users more comfortable living space, and optimize the HVAC terminal equipment, it is necessary to communicate with the controller to obtain real-time data. However, the traditional way of using the controller is mostly adjusted on the human-machine interface (HMI), which cannot be tested uniformly for different controllers. At present, different controllers have different register addresses and the program is limited to obtaining the data of a specific controller. Different controllers cannot share a set of programs. In addition, modbus has a variety of communication modes. If the communication mode changes, the code needs to be changed and redeveloped. Most of the programming cannot make modbus universal. In order to solve the above problems, this paper focuses on several ways of communication and connection between LabVIEW and Modbus. It mainly proposes a configurable Modbus communication mechanism based on LabVIEW, the Modbus protocol is made universal. The program obtains the configuration parameters of different Modbus communication modes and the parts of different controllers through the configuration file, so as to realize the code scalability and compatibility. Therefore, the controller supporting Modbus protocol can communicate in real time as long as the configuration is modified. This method can be applied to the industrial controller supporting modbus and can effectively solve the problem of communication barriers between the configuration software LabVIEW and different controllers. © 2021 IEEE.
