With the rapid development of Internet technology and intelligent technology, it is an inevitable trend for manufacturing industry to move from traditional manufacturing to digital manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing. As the 'mother machine'of production and manufacturing, CNC equipment has various types and communication modes, which makes it difficult to monitor various types of CNC equipment in the workshop. This paper proposes an abstract connection method for CNC machine tools by comparing and analyzing the common communication methods and data acquisition schemes of various mainstream CNC systems. It can be applied to the data acquisition of most advanced CNC machine tools, and can effectively solve the communication obstacles between enterprise management system and different CNC systems. The code of machine tools connected by the server is reduced to at least 20% of the original. © 2021 IEEE.
