With the increase of urban scale and rapid development of transportation, intercity travel is more convenient and plays a crucial role in the urban transportation system. Traditional travel survey methods are difficult to apply to the research between hubs. This paper proposes a method based on mobile phone data to calculate the passenger travel OD between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban megalopolis hubs, and analyzes the spatial and temporal law of passenger travel. Firstly, we propose an approach to extract passenger trips information among hubs from mobile phone data. Secondly, we describe the spatiotemporal travel characteristics of passengers at the Beijing West Railway Station - Zhengding Airport. The results show that mobile phone data has great potential for studying passenger travel among megalopolis. © 2020 ASCE.
