Abstract:
Municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) process has advantages such as high capacity reduction rate, fast processing speed and in-situ incineration. Under un-stable operational conditions, especially furnace temperature, the emitted pollution such as SO2, NOX, HCl and dioxins may exceed national emission standards. In order to obtain the relationship between the control variables and the incinerator temperature, 3D numerical simulation for an actual MSWI process in Beijing is carried out. The structure of the incinerator is described and its 3D CFD model constructed. The, the baseline working condition experiments is made based on the actual process parameters. The influence of primary and secondary air and their ratio to the temperature field are analyzed. These results can provide support for the optimization control of the actual MSWI process. © 2023 IEEE.
