Abstract:

In view of the big difference between pure electric vehicles and ordinary vehicles in load characteristics of A/C system, a concept of `incoming heat from motor compartment' is introduced. With consideration of the effects of battery pack on the cooling load of A/C system, both calculation and test on the cooling load of A/C system are conducted with the time-history curves of instantaneous heat acquired from different enclosure structures obtained in both idling and normal driving conditions. Finally the results of theoretical calculation and test data are compared and analyzed, providing references for further research on the load characteristics of A/C system in pure electric vehicles.
