Abstract:

Municipalsolid waste incineration (MSWI) has significant advantages in terms of harmlessness, reduction, and resource utilization. Pollution emission control is a major problem in the operation of MSWI plants. Therefore, to understand the formation, reduction, and combustion mechanism of NOx in the furnace, this article proposed a numerical simulation model based on coupling several software. First, according to the typical grate MSWI process, the relevant reaction mechanism of NOx in the furnace is described. Then, according to the grate and gas reaction mechanism of an MSWI plant in Beijing, the reaction region is divided, and the numerical simulation model is constructed based on the benchmark parameters of the actual MSWI plant. Finally, the effectiveness of the numeral simulation model is verified by experiments. These results can provide support for the pollution optimization control of the actual MSWI process. © 2024 IEEE.
