Abstract:
A large scaled specimen of the concrete core wall with aspect ratio of 3.14, confined with reinforced frame, was tested under pseudo-static loadings to investigate its seismic behavior including the failure mechanism, hysteretic behavior, load-carrying capacity, elasto-plastic deformation ability, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation capacity. The test results show that the measure of the confinement with reinforced frame can improve the seismic behavior of concrete core wall effectively.
