Abstract:

The demand and main research results are analyzed considering the site effects on the determination of seismic ground motion parameters in the engineering design, and comparison is made among the consideration methods for the site effects in the existing seismic design codes in China and other countries. Combined with the compiling work of the seismic ground motion parameter zonation map of China, the development and change of the technical approach for the consideration of site effects are introduced, and an adjustment scheme of seismic ground motion parameters related to the site condition and the corresponding site coefficient table is proposed based on site classification in zonation map compilation. Furthermore, the results and change features of the strong motion parameters adjusted for site class effects are analyzed in the new generation seismic ground motion parameter zonation map.
