Abstract:

The laser uses one reflecting volume Bragg grating (RBG) as output mirrort, the gain medium is Nd: YVO4 crystal and it is end pumped by a fiber-coupled quasi-continuous semiconductor laser. The electro-optically (E-O) Q-switching way is used to get single longitudinal mode laser with narrow pulse width. When the optical cavity length is 38 mm with the repetition frequency from 5 Hz to 150 Hz, a stable single longitudinal mode laser output with pulse width of 1.92 ns and the single pulse energy of 0.38 mJ is obtained.
