Abstract:

To reduce the power consumption of air conditioners used for cooling telecommunication base stations, the thermosyphon heat exchanger unit is presented for the base station heat dissipation assisting with the air conditioner. An air to air thermosyphon heat exchanger unit is designed and tested. Results indicate that the heat exchanger unit works well with good heat dissipation performance under the testing conditions. The temperature effectiveness of the unit can reach 50%, and the energy efficiency ration (EER) reaches 10.9.
