Abstract:

This paper optimizes the stand-off distance when detecting the thickness of thermal barrier coating (TBC) using waveguide probe, by computer simulation technology (CST) microwave studio. Results indicate that the amplitude and the phase difference of the reflection coefficient can represent the thickness of thermal barrier coatings (TBC) when the stand-off distance is suitable.
