Abstract:
A suspend-dome structure is a new prestressed steel system, which is suitable for the roof of a big span structure. The experiment study on the anti-seismic performance of the new-type large span suspend-dome of badmiton Gympasiwm for 2008 Olympic Games is a guarantee to a large-scale public building. The dynamic feature and vibration table experiments of a 9.3 m suspend-dome structure model were conducted through the multiple vibration table array system in Beijing University of Technology. Dynamical features of the model were tested. The responses and rules of acceleration, displacement, stress of the structure, and force of cable under the earthquake were obtained. Results show that the structure has closely distributed modes, and has good anti-seismic performance under strong earthquakes at a magnitaude of eight.
