Abstract:

Two SBRs are first used to train activated sludge of heterotrophic denitrification bacteria for nitrate and nitrite, respectively. Then, the activated sludge that has ANAMMOX function is simultaneously inoculated into the two reactors. The efficiency of the coupling activated sludge including heterotrophic denitrification bacteria and ANAMMOX bacteria is researched. Experimental results show that the efficiency of heterotrophic denitrification of nitrite is better than that of nitrate. However, the coupling effect with ANAMMOX bacteria is on the contrary. Under the condition of aeration, the two reactors have better nitrification function at the same time, and the accumulation ratios of nitrite are 62.2% and 87.3%, respectively.
