Abstract:
A modal testing method for latticed shell structures was presented. The technique combined single-point transient shock excitation and complex mode indication function method. Through the optimal position selection of shock excitation, intensive modals could be separated and the overlap between intensive modes lightened. A complex mode indication function method was an advanced modal identification method in the frequency domain. It could automatically determine modal parameters with a high-speed, so it is better than traditional peak-pick method. Numerical simulation was done. The results show that it has good validity and accuracy to modal parameter identification of reticulated shell structures.
