Abstract:

The standard k-Ε turbulence model was adopted to simulate smoke flow in three-dimensional station with island-platform and side-platform with platform screen door system on different fire scenes. The simulation results show that the chimney effect is significant and become a smoke mouth near the stairs when fire took place in subway side-platform; the smoke is mainly expanded the sides of tunnel when fire occurred in subway island-platform; The screen door system act the role of counterwork on the transfer of heat and obstruct from smoke spread, and it is key to safety evacuate for persons in hybrid station.
