Abstract:
In order to analyze the seismic behavior of multi-story precast concrete structures, experimental study was conducted for some typical joints of an apartment building. With full-scale models, the seismic behavior of precast layered slab and beam to column exterior joints was investigated under high axial loading and low-cycle reversed loading. The failure pattern, hysteretic characteristics, skeleton curve, ductility, energy dissipation and abutted seam, were analyzed. The results indicated that the earthquake resistance performance of this type of connection is almost equal to that of monolithic connections.
