Abstract:
In order to deal with mechanical properties and semi-rigid characteristics of joint of steel-concrete composite beam of CFST (concrete-filled steel tubular) column with stiffening ring, the 4 specimens with a scale of 1:3 are tested by monotonic loading and cyclic loading. The finite element models of the CFST joints are analyzed by the finite element package ABAQUS. The proposed finite element model is validated by comparing the computed values, such as strains and deformations of measuring points, with available experimental results. Based on the models, a relative moment-rotation curve of the joint is proposed. An acceptable correlation is observed through the computed and experimental results obtained from the composite joint.
