Abstract:
On the basis of the present rail transit and BRT network, this paper presents a planning method for bus route network, which is established by presenting a transfer station attraction coefficient. This coefficient is used to adjust the link travel time of bus route that borders with rail transit transfer centres, BRT stop or terminals. Based on the object of direct passenger flow density maximum and by using the shortest path algorithm, bus route network is designed. Through adjusting the link travel time, the bus route passes or is closer to transfer station so as to improve the attraction ability of mass rapid transit. This bus route also plays an important role in picking up and delivering passengers to mass rapid transit stations, BRT stops or terminals and in improving the profits of transit companies.
