Abstract:

In this paper, it presents the results of numerical simulation for curved duct flow under two cases of laboratorial conditions. Large eddy simulation (LES) with finite element method on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Taylor-Galerkin finite element method (FEM) are used in the simulation. The results of calculation coincide with experiments reasonably. It demonstrates that LES technique is especially available for flow situations with complicated geometrical boundary system.
