Abstract:

In order to research the adsorption of estrone (E1), 17-estradiol (E2) and 17-ethynylestradiol (EE2) onto aerobic granular sludge, the adsorption balance time and the biosorption behavior under different temperatures were studied. The experiment data were fit with Freundlich equation and Langmuir equation. The structure of AGS was observed by SEM. The results show that the adsorption equilibrium is within 40 min, and the maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) decreases with increasing temperature. The qmax s of E1, E2, EE2 are 60.98, 58.82, and 82.64 μg/g respectively at 20C. This adsorption process is in conformity with the isothermal adsorption equation of Langmuir and Freundlich with R2 correlation coefficient between 0.93~0.98 and 0.92~0.98, respectively. The results of SEM show that there are changes in the internal and external morphology of AGS.
