Abstract:

The heat pipe is an efficient heat transfer device. It has good application prospects in superconducting magnet cooling and space cryogenic heat transfer technology. The experimental investigation is described concerning the heat transport characteristics of a thermosyphon. The results show that the heat transfer performances of the thermosyphon has the advantage of copper solid conductor with the same volume. The thermosyphon could be used to cool down the superconducting magnet more quickly.
