Abstract:
This test research 3 hybrid precast unbonded post-tensioned concrete beams under reversed cyclic loading. Such parameters as PT initial post-tensioning load, full grouted mild steel strength and area are described. Experiment shows that these beams used hybrid precast method can improve the energy dissipation and bearing capacity of specimens than others. The hybrid precast specimens still have desirable seismic characteristics such as a self-centering capability and an ability to undergo large nonlinear displacements with little damage. Resilience, ductility, energy dissipation of specimens are analyzed. The study was initiated to provide data for the development of a rational and economical design and construction procedure for such connections in seismically active regions.
