Abstract:

Persistent holographic recording is implemented in LiNbO3:Fe:Cu crystal with a gating light at 365 nm and a recording light at 633 nm. 50 plane-wave holograms with almost equal diffraction efficiencies are multiplexed in a LiNbO3:Fe:Cu crystal by using a recording schedule. The average fixing efficiency reaches 61%, and the dynamic range M/# for two-color holographic storage is estimated to be 2.2.
