Varieties　of　dominating　organic　pollutants　in　municipal　wastewater　are　summarized　in　this　paper,　with　the　emphasis　on　the　source,　toxicity　and　the　transformation　in　the　wastewater　treatment　process　of　the　trace　organic　pollutants,　including　pharmaceuticals　and　personal　care　products　(PPCPs),　estrogen　and　halide　disinfection　by　products,　NDMA　(Nitrosodimethylamine)　and　so　on.　To　make　a　further　control　of　the　trace　organic　pollutants,　the　optimization　and　combination　of　the　advanced　wastewater　treatment　techniques　is　stated　to　be　the　trends　in　the　wastewater　reuse　field　in　future.
