Abstract:
Ni-W alloys are the most excellent substrate materials for high temperature superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-δ. In order to obtain high current density, strong cube texture must be formed in Ni-W substrates. Ni-W alloys were fabricated by spark plasma sintering system. The Ni-W substrates were obtained by the method of rolling assisted biaxially textured substrates (RABITS). Cold rolling and recrystallisation textures were studied systematically by X-ray. The results show that the heavier cold rolling reduction, higher temperature of annealing and a two-step recrystallisation annealing are beneficial to forming of cube texture in Ni-W substrates.
