Abstract:

This paper introduced the situation of recycling of old bituminous concrete abroad and also analyzed the situation of that in China briefly. An old asphalt-mixture highway in Beijing with about 10 years history was chosen and recycled as hot asphalt mixture. By through crushing, sieving the old materials and extracting the old asphalt, the performance of old asphalt, such as penetration index, deformation point and ductility index of old asphalt was determined. Through on indoor experimental analysis, the design method of the mixed proportion of the recycled bituminous concrete was investigated and then the performance of recycled bituminous concrete, such as high-temperature stability, low-temperature crack resistance and water stability etc. was determined.
