Abstract:

Al-based coating is prepared by arc spraying using Al-based cored wire. High-temperature oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of Al-based coating are compared with that of Fe-Al coating and 45CT coating. Also H2S corrosion resistance of Al-based coating is compared with that of Fe-Al coating and A304 stainless steel. The results shows that Al-based coating has excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance under 650°C. In the case of saline corrosion and H2S corrosion, only the surfaces of Al-based coating are eroded and the corrosion surface is very thin. The inside of the coatings is not eroded at all. Thus Al-based coating has excellent corrosion resistance.
