Abstract:
Three high strength concrete annular spars (HSCAS) with axial tensile forces were tested to investigate their cracking and deformation behavior. Based on the data obtained, the author gives the advice on how to calculate the crack width and the average crack spacing of a HSCAS. A formula to calculate the tensile rigidity of a HSCAS is derived, and the formula is in good agreement with the experimental data.
