Abstract:

The low cycle corrosion fatigue test in H2S environment is challenged by the measurement system due to harsh environment, long-time test, high experimental cost, real-time measurement and control difficult. With this understanding, the system for low cycle corrosion fatigue test is modified and upgraded. A high-speed A/D card is installed in the system's computer for displacement/strain data acquisition, instead of previous DH3819 static strain gauge. The software written in Visual Basic 6.0 is employed for real-time data processing and accurate loading control using closed-loop control system. The control software also has the functions to automatically respond to the overflow of load and displacement, and the rise of emergency, such as power blackout. As a result, the upgraded system has the abilities of fast data acquisition and processing, accurate and real-time control, and low-cost, reliable operation in a long period.
