Abstract:
With zirconium n-propoxide as Zr source and triethanolamine as template, a mesoporous zirconia was synthesized via hydrothermal route. By means of XRD, TEM and N2 adsorption-desorption analysis, the related mechanism was investigated. The results showed that by the chelation with triethanolamine, zirconium n-propoxide transformed into a complex, its hydrolysis and condensation rates could be controlled during the sol-gel process, and then, the particles condensed into well-arranged pore walls via self-assembly route, and the crystallization could be controlled to finally form the mesoporous materials.
