Abstract:

According to the kinematics and the structural characters of compliant mechanism, degree-of-freedom of compliant component is analysed and judged in types. By transforming compliant mechanism into pseudo-rigid-body model and counting the degree-of-freedom of pseudo-rigid-body, a new notion for determining the degree-of-freedom of compliant mechanism is proposed. Some case studies demonstrate that this method is feasible and accurate.
