Abstract:

A 3R1H Pseudo-Rigid-Body Model (PRBM) is proposed to simulate the flexible beam with an inflection point in compliant mechanisms. The characteristic radius factors of the PRBM are determined via optimization. The spring stiffness coefficients are obtained using a linear regression technique. The numerical simulation shows that both the tip locus and inflection point of the flexural beam with single inflection point can be simulated using the model proposed in this paper. © Springer International Publishing AG 2018.
