Abstract:
This paper presents a digital blind adaptive calibration technique to overcome the effect of timing mismatch in time-interleaved analog-to-digital converters (TIADCs). By subtracting the output of the adjacent channels, utilizing the least-mean-square (LMS) algorithm, the timing mismatch is determined and calibrated by the differentiator-multiplier cascade. Simulation results of the two-channel 500MS/s 14-bit TIADC show that the SFDR can be improved from 31.94dB to 72.45dB. This approach has low-complexity and is easy to implement. © 2018 IEEE.
