Abstract:
The computer vision with the laser stripe scanning method is widely used in the macro field of shape reconstruction and measurement for the objects with a large-scale. On the basis of the macro laser stripe scanning method, we proposed a new method with a stereo light microscope and laser stripe scanning to be used in the micro filed of shape reconstruction and measurement for the objects with a micro-scale. And this article is especially concerned with the problem of edge detection of laser stripes located on microscope images. First, we analyzed the character of microscope image and proposed an edge detection algorithm for these laser stripes based on Canny rule. Then, an edge filter is used to smooth the edge burrs. At last, the Hermite interpolation method is used to link the broken edges and output continuous and smoothing edge contours of laser stripes. The results show that this method can output high-quality edge contours and is suitable in the edge detection of laser stripe located in microscope image. © 2018 IEEE.
