Abstract:

This paper presents a numerical procedure to calculate complex propagation constants of first higher mode of microstrip. The eigenvalue approach based on the 2M-port ABCD matrix is reported to extract the complex propagation constants of the leaky-mode antenna. The RPA (relative power absorbed) values, extracted from the two-port measured results of the prototype, validate the proposed numerical method. © 2016 IEEE.
